Designed for the Moment

A live sporting event never stands still — and neither can the content around it.

For the Travelers Championship, I developed motion graphics and social content designed to move with the tournament: building anticipation, communicating live information, highlighting players and bringing the energy surrounding the course into the digital experience.

From hype pieces and player pairings to leaderboards, weather updates, scores and the final winner announcement, every execution had a different job while remaining part of the same visual world.

01 — BEFORE THE FIRST SHOT
Building Anticipation

Before the competition begins, the job is energy. Hype content and tournament announcements set the pace — introducing players, building anticipation and giving the audience a reason to start following before the first shot is played.

02 — FOLLOWING THE TOURNAMENT
Information Has to Move Too

Once the tournament is underway, content becomes part storytelling and part information system. Pairings, scores, leaderboards, schedules and even weather conditions need to be communicated quickly — without becoming visually disconnected from the event around them.

The challenge was keeping each piece clear and functional while preserving enough movement and personality to make it feel unmistakably part of the Travelers Championship.

03 — AROUND THE COURSE

More Than the Score

A tournament is more than what happens on the leaderboard. Fans, history, atmosphere and the small moments around the course are part of the experience too.

These pieces gave the visual language room to become more playful — moving beyond scores and schedules to capture the personality and culture surrounding the event.

04 — THE FINAL MOMENT
THE WINNER

Every update, score and round eventually leads to one moment.

The winner announcement brings the system full circle — turning a constantly evolving tournament into one final, unmistakable image.

One Tournament. Hundreds of Moments.

Designing for a live event means creating a system flexible enough to react without losing its identity.

That’s what made this project particularly interesting to me: every piece had a different purpose, lifespan and amount of information, yet all of them needed to feel like they belonged to the same event.

The content changes by the minute. The visual language has to hold everything together.
